In 2018, the LLA opened its doors to the film production of Notes, serving as one of several Kalamazoo-area locations featured in the movie. LLA members Marge Kars and Grace Anne Kalafut served as on-site coordinators for the two-day shoot, and the production also made use of other beloved local landmarks including Chenery Auditorium and Sangren Hall at Western Michigan University.
